At Core Surveys Ltd we aim to provide a comprehensive consultancy service to aid compliance with current legislation and ultimately reduce the risk from legionella bacteria. We are an independednt consultancy with no vested interested in water hygiene remedial projects. Our range of services includes:

  • Legionella risk assessment in accordance with L8;
  • The production of water management systems for controlling the risks;
  • Training in legionella awareness;
  • Microbiological sampling;
  • Legionella management review.


    • Legionella Risk Assessment - The Core Surveys Ltd standard legionella risk assessment is designed in such a way as to incorporate all the guidance contained within L8, but is tailored to the individual needs of the client, to ensure that the client is doing everything reasonably practicable to control the risk.     Legionella Awareness Training - L8 states that lack of training and poor communication have been identified as causative factors in outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease. Core Surveys Ltd provided basic legionella awareness training that can be tailored to your particular work environment.


    System Monitoring - L8 states that the precautions used to control the risk from Legionella bacteria should be monitored to ensure they remain effective. Core Surveys can audit these systems by conducting the following tests:

  • physical parameter tests incuding, temperature, pH and conductivity;
  • microbiological sampling for general bacteria;
  • microbiological sampling for legionella species.
