Fire Risk Assessments

Fire Awareness Training

Best value in the market and unrivalled turnaround time!

Fire Risk Assessment

In October 2006 the Regulatory Reform Order (RRO) was introduced and this replaced the majority of existing fire legislation. It places an emphasis on the duty holder to ensure that adequate measures are being taken to prevent fires and reduce risk. The RRO covers non-domestic premises and communal areas within domestic dwellings, blocks of flats for instance.

Core will generally start with a fire risk assessment which will identify sources of ignition, sources of fuel, those at risk, any control measures which are currently in place and means of escape. Based on the assessment, significant findings will be raised and then put into an action plan so that risk can be reduced to as low as reasonably practicable. Remedial works may include things as simple as ensuring flammable liquids are kept within locked metal cabinets through to more costly solutions, such as fully automated detection systems.

Core’s report clearly show what actions need to be taken following the fire risk assessment and of course we’re on hand to help where any of these are concerned.
