Trainee Asbestos Site Analyst – Asbestos Air Monitoring Job in Newick, East Sussex at Core Surveys Ltd

Core Surveys Ltd currently has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Trainee Asbestos Site Analyst (Asbestos Air Monitoring). As a leading specialist asbestos UKAS accredited testing & inspection consultancy, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join in our success and kick-start a long and successful career with us.

As a Site Technician, you will be supported through an exceptional training programme, at the end of which you will receive professional BOHS qualifications and authorisation to work as an Asbestos Site Analyst (Air Monitoring).

Experience / Qualifications:
• Possess GCSE grades C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
• University graduates / qualified an advantage

Duties:
• Liaising on a daily basis with clients, contractors and their representatives as well as members of the public.
• Carrying out a range of air testing from Leak tests to 4 Stage Clearance.

Requirements:
• A full UK driving license
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Flexible (some out of hours and weekend work will apply)

Asbestos Surveyors / Analysts (4 Stage Clearance)

Bulk ID analysts – Multiple Vacancies. 

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team, with one or more the following P401 / P402 / P403 / S301 / CoCA, together with relevant industry experience.

Salary range £18,000 – £28,000 plus benefits depending on role applied for, qualifications and level of experience.

All positions would be based out of our East Sussex office near Lewes.

Lab Technician/Bulk ID

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the BOHS P401 qualification and must have proven experience working within this role, within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.

Key Tasks:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory, preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Completing sample logs and certificates of analysis as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.

Other asbestos laboratory duties as and when required.

Requirements:

All applicants must possess the following attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Possess GCSE grades C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Flexible (some out of hours and weekend work may apply)
  • BOHS P401

Qualified Asbestos Analyst

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications and must have proven experience working within this role in the asbestos industry.

Key Tasks:

The work will involve undertaking all aspects of asbestos air monitoring which will include: four stage clearances, background monitoring and leak testing. The work is for predominantly local clients although travel to other areas will be required on occasion.

Requirements:

All applicants must possess the following attributes:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess GCSE grades C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Flexible (some out of hours and weekend work will apply)
  • BOHS P403, P404
  • P402 (or equivalent) would be an advantage but is not essential
